Job Description:
PURPOSE OF POSITION
To receive, inspect, store and issue materials and items for use in production.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
Be sure all materials for departments are picked and delivered to be able to meet production schedule.
Adhere to all safety regulations in forklift operations.
Perform weekly cycle counts as required.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
Must be able to read and write English.
1
year(s) forklift driving experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Computer experience necessary
Must be able to communicate both orally and written.
Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/16
DECISIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for daily check list on assigned forklift.
Responsible for keeping warehouse in a in a clean and organized manner.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to climb ladders and stairs.
Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment.
Must be able to withstand both hot and cold atmosphere depending on weather conditions.
Must be aware of people walking in front of oncoming forklift.
Must be able to travel throughout the facility to obtain information needed to perform job functions.
